Took me few years to fully transition to week-2 weeks no washing. Oil will regulate itself just give it time. Start with 2-3 days then 5 days then 7 and so on. But over months. I had greasy hair daily until i stopped washing it. My hair now 7 years in doesnt get greasy at all and i only wash to ckean scalp and because I have psoriasis and have to tend my scalp in different seasons but never doing that or washing within less than 7 days usually longer. If yall want to go longer or without shampoo go slowly to let your scalp slowly regulate itself. Scarves and hats too. I cover fullyime and it helps keep my hair clean and protected too. If you want more out of each wash then cover your hair when out, cleaning, bedtime

Can you blend the soap nut and flax after boiling just to have more nutrients for the hair? Is the nuts soft enough to blend.

a little side note: when using oil to moisturize your hair after washing, better put the oil in when your hair is still damp (at least for people with low porosity hair). Otherwise it will sit on top of your hair and make it look oily again without doing anything for it ;)

Baking soda and applecider vinegar does not cause wax. If anything it strips the wax and may cause wax to gunk up.

As someone with unruly, curly hair these soap nuts are incredible! I use a bowl with soap nut water diluted/ topped up with warm water. I dip my head in, massage the scalp with a scalp brush and leave for 5 minutes and then pour the remaining liquid over my head, squish it in then rinse. If you want a natural conditioner marshmallow root works very well, it can be boiled up and used as either a rinse, leave in or as a deep conditioner mask.

Massage scalp with baking soda water until you use it up. Then, once scrubbing is done, spread the oils from the top of your hair to the ends. switch to the jar with water and apple cider vinegar and dip your ends and hair into the jar of vinegar water. Shake for 20seconds and switxh sides

Hi, thank you for the fun video, I soak the shikaki overnight…. with some Amla each one cup….. in the morning, I drain them and add fenugreek seed…. Leave them for another two hour. Strain them again…… then little bit in the fridge for a week. Rest of it I freeze them.

One Suggestion Please add “Essential Oil” after cooking soapnut and flaxseeds. Essential oil should be added when your liquid is cold otherwise it will loose most of its good properties. We use this from our Childhood in Pakistan 🇵🇰 for hair care..

I started using soapnuts in 2015 in our laundry because my son had really bad eczema. After 3 months, his skin cleared up, the detergent just needed time to leave our clothes. I used every kind of natural detergent and all of them irritated him. I soak them for 5 -10 minutes and drop them in. Love these things, going to try the hair, thanks.

Making reetha more frothy is possible- soak them , boil them in same water, try not to dilute more - keep in mind the nuts to water ratio- Shaking the mixture give alot of froth. On hair which is too oily (oil treated hair) it might take alot . So prefer light oils , and use sparingly- it doesn’t strip off natural oil so you wont need exter scalp oiling anyway , oil only the ends of hair strands amd only focus reetha water on scalp.

This video is so old, but I'm new to soap nuts and trying to learn all I can do with them. I think I'll try simmering for a while to get it more concentrated, then adding a little to some hot water at shower time because I don't like pouring cold cold water on my head 😅
